A visit to the Mercedes- Benz Museum in Stuttgart , Germany

Hey Everyone ! 🙂  Like you all know,  i had been to Germany last weekend and during my trip , i managed to spend 2 nights in Stuttgart. Stuttgart is the capital of southwest Germany’s Baden-Württemberg state. The place is best known as a  manufacturing hub. It is home to Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. These automobile giants  have their  headquarters and museums here. Apparently the number #1 thing to do in Stuggart as per Trip Advisor is to see the Mercedes -Benz Museum. Porsche comes second ! We were running out of time and had to choose between the two and so we decided to do the #1 🙂

Talking about the size of the Mercedes Museum , 9 levels and 16,500 square metres  You can take a fascinating stroll through automobile history.  Carried by lift to a height of 34 metres , you will travel back in time to the year 1886. This is when the Mercedes -Benz legend was born with the pioneering invention by Gottlieb Daimler and Carl benz – the automobile.  One legend room follows the other in a chronological tour that descends through seven floors and through more than 125  years of automotive history. In addition to the Legend tour, five Collection rooms explore the key Mercedes- Benz themes across every era. At the lowest level of the building , there is a  Museum Shop that showcases a wide range of goods for visitors of all age groups. The world’s largest selection of Mercedes – Benz products is found here. How awesome right ? 🙂 Also, there is a restaurant inside the museum where you can get some snacks!  You get an audio guide upon entering. Very typical of German things, everything is precise. You need to aim the audio guide at the target by the display board, and from there, you can then hit play.At the end of the tour, you can take back the tag of the audio guide as a souvenir 🙂  Seriously for 8 euro you should not miss this museum if you are in the Stuttgart area ! I have a good 100 plus photos inside the museum but i chose a few to put in here 🙂 Hope i dont bore you with too many photos! 🙂

I have an unlimited internet connection now, which makes more pictures better 🙂
There is still the advantage of following your path; being selective means that everyone sees each picture – even when not blogging, once upon a time, I used to upload too many pictures on Facebook; now I upload just one with the check-in; actually worked better for me 😀
